Airplane story:
South African Airways (SAA), founded in 1934 and based in Johannesburg, is South Africa’s national carrier. The airline introduced its first Boeing 747, a 747-200 nicknamed “Lebombo,” in 1971. Over the years, SAA operated various 747 models, including the 747SP, 747-300, and 747-400, with the last retired in 2012. Notably, the 747SP enabled non-stop flights to destinations like New York and Sydney.
