C919 passenger plane successfully flew for the first time
At 10:30 on January 28, 2023, the world’s first C919 large aircraft of China Eastern Airlines performed flight MU7817 and landed smoothly at Changbei International Airport in Nanchang, China. This is the first flight of the C919 aircraft this year. New waypoint.

On December 26, 2022, the China Eastern Airlines C919 aircraft began a 100-hour verification flight. It is reported that before flying to Nanchang, China, the C919 aircraft has carried out intensive verification flight missions in 8 cities and 9 airports in China, including Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Xi’an, Haikou, Qingdao, Wuhan, Jinan, etc. Hefei, Nanjing, Taiyuan, Shanghai Pudong and other cities in China.
After the C919 completes the final route verification flight, the Civil Aviation Administration of China will verify and inspect the verification results to confirm that China Eastern Airlines has the ability to safely operate the C919 aircraft and issue corresponding operating permits.
China Eastern Airlines may officially start C919 commercial passenger operations in the spring of 2023, when the C919 will appear on China’s Nanchang, Shanghai, Beijing and other routes.

The C919 large passenger aircraft (COMAC C919) is China’s first mainline civil aircraft developed and assembled in cooperation with companies from the United States, France and other countries in accordance with the latest international airworthiness standards. Development began in 2008. C is the initial letter of China, and also the initial letter of COMAC, the first “9” means forever, and “19” represents the maximum passenger capacity of China’s first large passenger aircraft of 190 seats.
